Welcome,Our names are John & Jacquie Duran. We live in Santa Rosa, California, fifty miles north of San Francisco, nestled in beautiful Wine County. The Pacific Ocean, Russian River, and many beautiful wineries surround us.

We have both been avid animal lovers all our lives. What would life be without animals? As a child my best friend was “Bugs” a silver toy poodle that I lost to cancer. Children don't understand loss, so I tried for many years to replace her. As I grew older I realized, you can’t replace such a beautiful gift. But, you can love again.....

My husband and I decided that we were ready for a new family member. We chose a Boxer and named him “Babe” after Babe Ruth (we are avid baseball fans). Over the next few years Boxers became our constant companions. We had two Boxer litters. We kept one pup from our second litter, a flashy fawn male.

My husband discovered “Dog Shows” when his favorite major league baseball team The SF Giants were on strike. He decided to take handling classes and enter the conformation ring for fun with one of our Boxers “McGwire”. McGwire was never finished, but together they learned, had fun and discovered a new adventure, that would lead to many new experiences and new friends. At this time we are not showing any Boxers. Although, we would like to pursue it again at a future date.

While at a show with McGwire, my husband discovered French Bulldogs. After researching the breed and educating ourselves, we started our search for a pup. We were put on Trudy Bettingers waiting list for several months. Finally our dream came true when she called us to let us know that she had a male available. We had also contacted Sue Woynilko but, she didn't have anything available. We became good friends with Sue and after visiting each others home we adopted one of her puppies. We currently own several Frenchies.

We joined the Northern California French Bulldog Club where my husband John served two terms as second Vice President. He is currently serving his third term on the board of diectors. We also joined the French Bulldog Club of America. We attended our first specialty in Oregon 2001. We've been fortunate to attend three FBDCA Specialties. We've been meeting many wonderful people and look forward to meeting you...
